The short version
We collect what we need to take your order and ship your tires — your name, contact info, and addresses. We also use Google Analytics, which gives each browser a long-lived ID and records the pages you view and what you put in your cart. That data is tied to an ID rather than to your name, but it is not anonymous. We use a secure payment processor and never store your full card number. We do not sell your personal information. Every cookie we set is listed below.
Who we are
Greater Cleveland Tire (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an owner-operated specialty tire retailer based in Cleveland, Ohio. This policy explains what information we collect through greaterclevelandtire.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and the details of your order. If you email or call us, we keep the contents of that correspondence so we can help you.
Payment information. Payments are processed by PayPal, Inc. through our checkout. We do not see or store your full card number; the processor handles your card details directly under its own security standards.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies: your device and browser, screen size, language, IP address and the approximate location it implies, the pages you view and the products you look at, what you add to your cart, and how you arrived at the site. Most of this is tied to a randomly generated ID stored in your browser rather than to your name — but that ID persists between visits, so it is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. The next section lists every cookie we set.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and provide order updates;
- Answer your questions and provide customer support, including fitment help;
- Handle returns, exchanges, and our fitment guarantee;
- Detect and prevent fraud, and keep the site secure;
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and
- Comply with our legal and tax obligations.
Cookies we set
We use cookies to keep the site working — signing you in, remembering your cart — and to understand how visitors use it. This is the complete list.

What our analytics actually collect
We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and usage. It is fair to call this pseudonymous, but not anonymous: every hit carries the persistent _ga ID above, plus the full page address and title, your screen resolution, browser language, and device and browser details, and the IP address Google uses to estimate your city.
Shopping activity is reported too. When you view a product, add one to your cart, view your cart, start checkout, or complete an order, we send Google Analytics the contents of that event — product name, our SKU, price, quantity, brand, and the categories the product sits in. That is enough detail to reconstruct what you were shopping for.
We use it to see what is and is not working on the site. Google uses the data under its own terms; you can read them in Google's Privacy Policy.
We also run Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which count page views and measure how fast pages load. Neither sets a cookie or stores an identifier in your browser.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can block or delete any of the cookies above through your browser settings. Blocking the ones we set ourselves will break signing in and the cart.
Analytics is off until you say yes. Google Analytics does not load — and sets no cookies — unless you allow it in the cookie banner. You can change your mind any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer; turning analytics off also clears the Google cookies it set.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers and parties we need to run the business, including:
- BigCommerce, our ecommerce platform. It runs our catalog, cart, checkout, and order and account records.
- Our payment processor, PayPal, Inc., which handles your card details at checkout under its own terms.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and processes every request to it, including your IP address.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of our store platform to filter bots and abusive traffic.
- Google, for the analytics described above.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
- Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but you are welcome to make any of these requests.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill your orders, provide support, and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations — after which we delete or anonymize it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and payment card data is handled by our payment processor under industry security standards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
