About this tire
This is the Deestone D402 in 4.00-8, a 4-ply R-1 lug tire for small tractors, tillers, and farm equipment that needs bite. The R-1 lug bars are spaced for traction in dirt and grass, and they clean out as they roll. That same aggressive lug makes it rough and noisy on pavement, so this is a tire for ground work, not for running down the road.
It carries 340 lbs at 4-ply (LR B) and runs a deep 14.5/32 lug. This is a tubeless tire. It covers a few sizes: it replaces a 4.80-8, a 4.00/4.80-8, and the 4.00-8. If your current tire is a 2-ply or 4-ply in this range, this 4-ply swaps in.
